Inside our Effluent Treatment Plant: how we recycle water
Textile dyeing and printing use a lot of water, and what leaves the factory has to be clean. That is why our dyeing units operate their own Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and a Waste Water Treatment Plant.
What the plant does
The plant treats effluent from different areas of the factory. Water from textile and chemical processes is recycled through a series of operations: coagulation, flocculation, aeration and filtration, mainly reverse osmosis.
1,560 m³ per day
The wastewater treatment plant for the dyeing unit is capable of treating 1,560 m³ of wastewater per day over 24 working hours: 65 m³ per hour at Radial International Ltd. and 60 m³ per hour at Pearls & Pouch Ltd., using the Electro Contaminant Removal (ECR) system.
Less effluent at the source
Automation and the use of highly substantive dyes in the dyeing and printing stages also reduce the amount of effluent produced in the first place. Read more on our Environmental Compliance page.
